Tetchy and Staunchly

Regulator demanded "Cultural Change" Bob Diamond pins blame on traders
FSA had concerns over Barclays


Tetchy can be defined as irritable or touchy.
Staunchly can be defined as strongly dependable, royal and firm.


Example:


The discussions between Barclays and the FSA emerged in a sometimes tetchy appearance by Mr Diamond during which he staunchly defended the bank's staff and business practices.
